with one comment

>If you’ve put off an in-depth look at your choices on the Nov. 4 ballot, or want one last review before making a decision, be sure to pick up a copy of the Sunday Register Citizen for a comprehensive (i.e., massive) voters’ guide.
We’ll be profiling every race and candidate, from president, right on down to each local state representative race.
We’ll also cover the ballot questions on the statewide ballot (constitutional convention and voting age questions) and the charter changes being considered in Torrington and Winsted.

  1. >Register Citizen gets it wrong.First of all, the Register Citizen should take a look at its own news stories. 8th Senate District Candidate Kevin Witkos, who the Register endorses, couldn’t be bothered to show up for a debate at one of the local organizations in Torrington, but they think he will represent the interests of Torrington–Witkos’ absence from that debate and other events proves he’s just like Herlihy.Art House is more qualified to do the job. More knowledgable about how to handle issues of importance and, quite frankly, has been going door-to-door in Torrington listening to voters, getting their input and showing up–not sending a hack to fill in for him!Wake up Register, neither Herlihy nor Ruwet have done anything for Torrington and Witkos is cut from the same cloth. How come the Register hasn’t written a story about how Ruwet and the Republicans gave up Torrington during the Courthouse debate at the Capitol when they required Torrington to give up hundreds of thousands of dollars in local aid as a pay off to Litchfield?Ruwet and Witkos are wrong for Torrington and the Register has failed to do its homework again.
